January 21,Saturday, is the second anniversary of the date when the Supreme Court decided to reverse decades of restrictions on corporate interference in our elections.  On that day of infamy, the American people lost their power to prevent corporations with their billions of dollars from dictating what voters see and hear about candidates for President or for any federal election.  There are no requirements that those who want to put people in power to protect their own self-interests have to be honest, or accurate, or even tell voters who they are.

We have already seen how Romney's SuperPAC turned voters around in Iowa, and how Gingrich, who complained about the unfairness of it all, then took a $5 million dollar check from a Casino owner to run a 28 minute video attack on Romney in South Carolina. Primaries are now battlegrounds for the SuperPACs.

Where does it end?  No wonder so many people don't vote, believing that all politicians are corrupt.  If we want to restore any faith in government and in the power of democracy, we need to reverse the ruling that corporations are persons.  A crowd of concerned citizens will show up Saturday at noon on the Square to hold signs and voice our "Declaration of Independence from Corporate Rule."

Join us on Saturday, January 21 at the Square in Gettysburg at noon, to hand out bookmarks calling to "Abolish Corporate Personhood!

Spread the word, and join the movement to restore government to "we the people," not "we the corporations."
