Get Involved!
1. Sign up for our mailing list, email messages and action alerts by writing to elainelynchjones@gmail.com. Gettysburg Area DFA has no dues, but you are considered to be one of us just by signing up. We need your address, email and phone so we can keep in touch. If you do not have an email, simply contact Elaine at 717-677-9442.
2. Attend the monthly Meetup on the first Wednesday and/or the meeting of our steering committee on the third Wednesday. Our meetings are held in Valentine Hall of the Lutheran Seminary at Gettysburg off Springs Ave. We usually meet in room 210 or the Auditorium, but watch for signs in the front lobby.
3. Join one of our task forces. Click on the Task Force tab for more details including the email address of our task force chairs: Adams/Hanover Healthcare 4 All PA, Will Lane; Energy, Environment, and Sustainability, Peter Boving; Transition Study Group (either Will or Peter); Money in Politics, Elaine Jones.
4. Support our efforts by sending a contribution to GADFA at Box 489, Arendtsville, PA 17303. Donations are much appreciated, and help us pay for room rental, website, and other communications.
5. Get involved in citizen lobbying. Members are invited to respond individually to action alerts on progressive issues, or to call, write or visit our state and/or federal legislators as part of a unified effort on behalf of our DFA. Most of our visits by a delegation are planned by the DFA task forces.
